Raised in Lovington New Mexico, Allen Valdez would attend nearby Eastern New Mexico University for a major in Music with a minor in Composition/Arranging. He would spend his time performing in various concerts and festivals as a guitarist in the Eastern New Mexico University Jazz Band and smaller combo bands. Through these events he would fall in love with performing as a contracted musician.

After setting up Lute of Orpheus Music Publications LLC, he would begin independent projects such as EarthShined, a Jazz Fusion Instrumental Trio, with their first single “Odyssey” debuting on January 13th, 2023. The music is heavily influenced by varied acts such as Charlie Parker, Jimi Hendrix, Adam Neely, Polyphia, and Sarah Longfield. The writing comes from a compositional approach to create an imaginative atmosphere.

After  more than 15 years of experience solely as a guitarist, he would fall in love with performing as a singer songwriter in 2022. He would take influence from many artists, but credits Kristen Marlo, Johnny Cash, Colter Wall, Rocky Foreman, and Jasper Brown as his biggest inspiration to performing as a singer songwriter. Currently Allen has been focused on his traveling solo act as a Western/Americana Singer Songwriter with instrumental arrangements. His debut EP “Tumbleweed Sessions” is set to release in May of 2023.
